Friends of the History of Medicine Library are passionate about Australasian medical history and promote and support the study and research of this fascinating subject. If you would like to join this Special Interest Group please subscribe to the mailing list.

Adopt a book or donate

By adopting a book in need of restoration or conservation, you directly support the work of the History of Medicine Library and its nationally important collections, helping to safeguard it for future generations. Much essential work remains to be done to preserve our collections

Any contribution towards either the full or part restoration of a book of your choice from the Library's collections will be gratefully acknowledged. Your contribution will be recorded in our online catalogue and your name will be inscribed on a specially designed bookplate. The Adopt a Book program provides a unique opportunity for Fellows or interested members of the public to play a part in the preservation of the collections.  If you would like to support this vital conservation work, please browse our Adopt a Book page or contact us for more information.
